Mr. Jimmy Leon Brown, 63, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017.
The funeral will be held at 3pm on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel with Rev. Barry Yates officiating. The burial will be at Ebenezer ARP Cemetery.
Born in Elberton, Ga., Leon was the son of the late James Thomas & Bonnie Cheek Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Gaulden Brown; two daughters, Jodie Lockridge (Mikey), Lydie Montgomery (Eric); his grandchildren: Tyler, Jackson, Levi, Harper, Addie Rose & Gunnar;
and his brother, Larry Brown. Leon has many wonderful nieces and nephews.
His grandchildren enjoyed having a devoted "Paw-Paw". He relished time fishing with them, watching their school sports events, giving advice and cheering them on. He was their biggest fan.
He was a huge Georgia Bulldog football supporter, and loved having his grandchildren watching the games with him. He even entered go-cart races, making three generations racing during the same events.
He was fortunate to have good buddies at Southeastern, where he worked.
He breathed out his last breath on this earth - his next breath was breathing in the pure celestial air of heaven.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Brown's name to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
