Mr. Levis C. Mauldin,86,of 2198 Lincolnton Highway, Elberton, Georgia, passed away Friday the 22nd of April 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, GA. Mr. Mauldin was born in Elbert County Georgia to the late Bub M. and Claudia Bruce Mauldin on October 31, 1924. He was a retired employee of Yeargin and Childs Granite Company. Mr. Mauldin is survived by daughters: Pam (Frank) Eaves, Penny(Mark) Langston, grandchildren: Jennifer (Chad) Whitmire, Ashley (Kenneth) House, Bret C. Norman, Clay (Maria) Norman, Woodrow Eaves and three great-grandchildren: Annaleigh, Madelyn Collins and Kason, brother: Harold (Charlotte) Mauldin, sister in laws: Ruth Mauldin, Betty Mauldin, Winona Palmer and Francis Fortson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Veatrice (Betty) Childs Mauldin, three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services to celebrate Mr. Mauldin’s life will be held Monday April 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Elberton, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 2:00-3:00 prior to the service. Interment will be at Woodlawn United Methodist Church Cemetery following the service. The family is accepting flowers or memorials may be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Building Fund.
