Lexie Ann Blackmon

Mrs. Lexie Ann Rudder Blackmon, 69, of Elberton passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Blackmon is the daughter of Frances Cobb Rudder of Calhoun Falls S.C. and the late L.V.Rudder. She was married to the late Howard Blackmon, Jr. She is survived by three sons: David “Bubba” (Tammy) Blackmon, Sr., Dennis “Dino” (Susan) Blackmon, and Darrell Blackmon, all of Elberton; and one daughter Denise (Casey) Black of Conyers. Mrs. Blackmon is also survived by four sisters, two brothers, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Fondly known as Maw-Maw by family and friends, she always had a place at her table, or a bed to sleep in for anyone in need. Funeral services for Mrs. Blackmon will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. just prior to the funeral.
