Lieutenant "Bo" Saddler, Sr.

Mr. Lieutenant "Bo" Saddler, Sr., 79, formerly of Elberton, GA passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospice House.

Mr. Saddler was born April 8, 1941 in Elberton, GA to George Saddler, Sr. and Ruby Mae Fortson Saddler. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. He previously worked with Eaves Packaging Company, Banks BBQ and was a cook in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and Korean Conflict.

He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law: Lieutenant Saddler, Jr. and Stephanie Saddler of Elberton, GA, Donny Burch of Dewy Rose, GA, daughter and son-in-law: Teresa Hunt and Demetrius Hunt of Seattle, WA; grandchildren: Morgan Leeann Saddler, Madelyn “Maddee” Alise Saddler, Mackenzie Blakely, Rashunda Burch, Ladonyia Burch, Jasmine Burch, Destiny Burch; great-grandchildren: Tashawn Burch, Leeasia Burch, Jackson Burch, Piper Burch and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother George Saddler, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2PM, Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Social distancing and face masks are encouraged. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemtery with Charles Moon, Leroy Saddler, Demetrius Moore, Jerry Allen, Al Bruce, Carlos Bates and Keke Clark serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Saddler will lie in state Friday, February 5 from 10AM to 5PM at Berry Funeral Home for those wishing to pay their respects and sign the guestbook.
