Linda Bishop Avery

Mrs. Linda Bishop Avery, 83, of Athens Highway, Elberton, GA passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Mrs. Avery was born November 29, 1938, in Elberton, GA to Guy Thomas Bishop and Emmie Ben Powell Bishop. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired teacher from Beaverdam Elementary School where she taught for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, James Donald "Don" Avery; sons and daughter-in-law: Clayton Lane Avery and Anita Avery of Elberton, GA, and Barry Bishop Avery of Hartwell, GA; sister: Debbie Bishop Bridges of Elberton, GA; and grandchildren: Nathan Avery, Natalie Avery, Guy Avery, Alaina Avery, and Hollie Snow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Powell Bishop.

A private memorial service celebrating her life will be held.
