Mrs. Linda Faye Harper Mills, age 80, of Eliam Road, Fortsonia Community, Elberton, wife of the late Joseph Austin “Butch” Mills, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday evening, March 16, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Mills was born in Elberton on October 26, 1940, daughter of the late Wallace D. Harper, Sr. and Marie Nash Harper. She was a textile worker having worked at Elberton Manufacturing Company and at Kautex in Lavonia, from which she retired. Linda was a member of Eliam United Methodist Church and took great pride and enjoyment working in her yard.
Survivors include her children: Hueston and Denise Mills and Nan and Mark Dove, all of Elberton; grandchildren: Justin and Scott Trego of Kissimmee, FL, Derek Mills of Elberton, Brock Mills and Felicia Kinard of Cochran, and Savannah Dove of Elberton; great-grandchildren: Brantley, Savanna, Clinton, and Kylie; siblings-in-law: Sandra and Ray Yeargin and Galen and Judy Mills, all of Elberton; half-siblings: Wallace, Tommy, and Cindy; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Hugh “Hiball” and Ruth Burton Mills.
No services will be held.
