Linda Gail Adams Lane passed away on November 28, 2012 in Cleveland, Georgia after an extended illness. Mrs. Lane was born in Elberton, Georgia on June 30, 1940, the daughter of the late Armand Adams and Estelle Nash Adams Dixon.She was also preceded in death by her husband, A. Ed Lane. Linda grew up in Elberton and spent most of her adult life in Atlanta.She served as a court reporter for DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, Fulton County, and the Northern Judicial Circuit.After retiring, Linda moved to Cleveland, Georgia. She is survived by her children and their spouses:Michael and Jody Strauss of Roswell, GA,Todd and Kathy Strauss of Atlanta, GA,and Laura and K.C. Hagemann of Cleveland, GA;and five grandchildren.Also surviving are sisters: Anne Dixon Jaudon of Elberton, GA, Myrtle Lokey of Augusta, GA,and Mary Booker of Greenville, SC;and one brother, Horace Dixon of Houston, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Fortsonia Community Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the graveside just prior to the service. Flowers are optional,and donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family is at the home of Anne Dixon Jaudon, Elberton.
