Mrs. Lisa Gail Barnes Bell, 58, Elberton, Georgia, wife of Jack T. Bell, transitioned to her Heavenly home on June 17, 2020. A native of Greenwood, South Carolina, and born November 29, 1961, Lisa was the daughter of Eugene Clark and Loretta Taylor Barnes.She attended Elbert County Comprehensive High School and received a GED in 1996. After 22 years of service, Lisa retired from Elbert County Emergency Services as a 911 communications officer, due to declining health.Lisa was a member of Bethel E Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene C. Barnes, her mother, Loretta Waters, parents-in-law, Jack & Martha Bell; a grandson, Jacob Cruz Bonds, brother Malcolm E. Barnes and sister-in-law, Carol Barnes. Lisa is survived by Jack, her husband of 15 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Cassey Bonds, Daniel and Kimberly Bonds and Marcus and Angie Bonds, all of Elberton; sisters, Vickie Craft of Belton, SC and Marsha Evans of Elberton; brother, Mason Barnes of Grand Bay, Alabama; and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 19th at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Scott Mize officiating.The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 – 1:45p.m., just prior to the service. Entombment followed in Forest Hills Memorial Park, with Logan Bonds, Landon Bonds, Talan Bonds, Ethan Bonds, Lucas Bonds, Branson Bonds, Steven Craft and Skyler Craft serving as pallbearers.Lexi Bryant, Gabriella Bonds, Ashtyn Bonds, Gavin Bonds, Colton Bonds and Grayson Bonds will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of America, 4340 East West Hwy., Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814 in Lisa’s memory and in honor of her granddaughter, Gabriella Bonds. Arrangements for Mrs. Lisa Barnes Bell were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
