Mrs. Connie Alisa “Lisa” Wiggins Seawright, 58, of Von Trina Drive, Elberton, wife of 24 years to John Michael Seawright, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Lisa was born in Greenwood, SC on October 14, 1960, daughter of Joyce Ann Winchester Wiggins and the late Rev. Lloyd Wayne Wiggins. She was a 1979 graduate of Winyah High School in Georgetown, SC, attended North Greenville University, earned a Bachelor's in Education from Lander University, earned a Master's in Education from Brenau University, and earned a Specialists of Education at Clemson University. Mrs. Seawright was in her 34th year of teaching with the Elbert County School System where she was currently teaching Pre-K at Paul J. Blackwell Learning Center. Lisa was dedicated to her students and the impact she had on Elberton’s youth will be remembered for generations. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Elberton, the Bennett Sunday School Class, the Church Choir, and Women’s Ministry. Lisa enjoyed catering, decorating, weddings, her Zumba Class, and of course, her Clemson Tigers.
Lisa was a devoted wife to John and the proud mother of Kristin Noelle Scott, John Michael Seawright, Jr., and the late Joshua Luke Seawright. She is also survived by her mother, Joyce of Abbeville, SC; brother and sister-in-law, David Wayne and Sylena Wiggins of Climax, GA; and nieces and nephew: Anna Lee Wiggins, Clark David Wiggins, and Madison Mosely Wiggins.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home, 1265 Washington Highway, Elberton, GA 30635 from 5:00-8:00p.m. on Sunday evening, September 1.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday morning, September 2, at 11 o’clock at First Baptist Church of Elberton, 132 Heard Street, Elberton, GA 30635, with the Revs. Raymond Scott and Gary Purvis officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 o’clock at Greenville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 205 Greenville Church Road, Donalds, SC 29638.
Pallbearers will include Clark Wiggins, Milton Scott, Scott Key, Billy Seawright, Will Seawright, and Ross King.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
