Lois Pitts Anderson

Mrs. Lois Alene Pitts Anderson, 90, of Elberton, wife of 55 years to the late Roy Wilbur Anderson, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Insignia Senior Living in Newnan.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Brantley, Alabama on March 12, 1928, daughter of the late Charles Warren Pitts and Quillie Mildred Anderson Pitts. She retired after 30 plus years of service with the City of Elberton Gas Department. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton and enjoyed visiting with her coffee group and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Mark and Debbie Anderson of Augusta and Judi and John Adams of Newnan; six grandchildren: Lee Anderson, Andy Adams, Tom Adams, Ashlie Graham, Laurie Betz, and Katie Tan; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Reginald Anderson; and siblings: Milton Pitts, Charles Vernon Pitts, and Judy Booth.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening, January 29, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

At Mrs. Anderson’s request, a private family service will precede burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Gary Purvis will officiate.
