Lorelle Wilhite Fortson

Frances Lorelle Wilhite Fortson, 96, of 1407 Athens Highway, Elberton, wife of the late Thomas Wilton Fortson, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Fortson was born in Elbert County, October 24, 1916, to the late Carl Clarence and Amanda Dobbs Fortson Wilhite. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Doves Creek Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her brother, William Doyle Wilhite of Mableton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Carl Wilhite. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, March 12, at 2:00PM in the Doves Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Huff and Dr. Marshall Tribble officiating. Private burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Doves Creek Baptist Church from 1:00-2:00PM prior to the service Tuesday.
