Mrs. Bertha Mae Saxon Rampey, 81, of Brookside Drive, Elberton, wife of 65 years to Charles Rawson Rampey, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rampey was born in Elbert County on January 5, 1933, to the late Louis Richard Saxon and Rona Bell Hall Saxon. She was a retired waitress having worked at the Granite City King Burger and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Mae enjoyed yard sales and collecting antiques. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Charles Rawson Rampey of the home; two children: Cynthia Rampey Rosser and her husband Kenneth of Dacula and Charles Richard Rampey and his wife Teresa of Dacula; grandchildren: Charles Vincent Rosser, Joshua Caine Rosser, Jonathan Michael Rosser, Autumn Michelle Sharp, and Elizabeth Ashley Salgado; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Grayson, Taylor, Tatiana, Leo, and Brandon; siblings: Ellis Saxon and his wife Elda of Orlando, FL, and Ruth Gilliam of Lilburn; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
