Maephene S. Voyles

Mrs. Maephene S. Voyles, age 66, of Martin, lost her battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord Monday, November 25, 2013 at Hartwell Health Care. Born July 16, 1947, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jimmie and Ruby (Seymore) Farmer . She retired from Coats and Clark as a winder. Mrs. Voyles was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband: Marshall Voyles; son and daughter-in-law: Todd and Patsy Voyles; grandchildren: Tripp Michael Voyles, D.J. Seymour, and Georgia Seymour; sister: Rita Farmer; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Danny and Mary Farmer and Barry and Cynthia Farmer. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jason DeFoor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the Strickland Funeral Home in Lavonia on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home.
