Marey Louise Mcintosh Case

Ms. Marey Louise McIntosh Case, 73, of S. Thomas Street, Elberton, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.   
 
Marey was born in Elberton on April 21, 1948, daughter of the late Clifford Brantley McIntosh, Sr. and Jonell Lovinggood McIntosh. She was a 1966 graduate of Elbert County High School and furthered her studies at Brewton-Parker College and the University of Georgia. Marey was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Elberton. Her passions included reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was the mother of three sons: Charles Woodfin “Chip” Case, Jr., Christopher Ryan Case, and Corey Clifford Case.  
 
Having been preceded in death by her parents and her son Chip, she leaves behind her sons Chris and Corey, both of Elberton; her daughters-in-law: Lorraine Case of Grovetown and Samantha Case of Elberton; siblings: Priscilla and Mike Mills of Elberton and Brantley and Vee McIntosh of Dewy Rose; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.    
 
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 3, at 3 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. John Case officiating. Private burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.   
 
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 3, from 2:00-2:45p.m. at Berry Funeral Home prior to the service.
