Margaret Anne Eavenson Brady

Mrs. Margaret ‘Anne’ Eavenson Brady, 81, of Harmony Road, Elberton, wife of 60 years to the late Randall Grant Brady, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the warmth of her beloved family. Although in declining health for several years, Anne never allowed her illnesses to steal her smile.

Anne was born in Elberton on June 29, 1943, eldest child of the late Clyde Thomas Eavenson and Mattie Lena Fields Eavenson. She was a lifelong member of Conord United Methodist Church and attended Liberty Church in Danielsville as long as her health permitted. Anne was a loyal employee at Harmony Blue Granite Company for many years, and loved the McGarity family. She later enjoyed working part-time at State Farm Insurance Company in Colbert.

In her free time, Anne loved crocheting, water color painting, and putting together puzzles. Her relaxation came from sitting in the sun and swinging on the porch. She adored her cat Thomas as well as the many hummingbirds that came to visit - supplying them with food each spring. Anne loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking favorite meals for all of the family. Her garden each year was a place of solitude, and she was always particularly proud of the tomatoes that she grew.

Surviving are her sons: Keith (Jamie Floyd) Brady of Elberton and Kevin Brady of Athens; and siblings: Sharon (the late Stanley) Ayers, Tommy (Elaine) Eavenson, and Janie (Allen) Moore, all of Elberton. Grandmother leaves behind her grandchildren: Tanner (Luke) Mabry, Zach (Chloe) Brady, and Lindsey (Jeremy) Jones; great-grandchildren: Addi, CharliAnne, Easton, Jaxon, and Morgan; and Kasey King Davidson, who she loved as a granddaughter.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Anne’s life will be conducted on Friday, March 28, at 1:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with David Hunt, Philip Brady, Jimmy Boyett, Clete Brady, Devin Drake, and Chris Brady honored as pallbearers.
