Mrs. Margaret Louise Fouts Maxwell, 92, of Maxwell Farm Rd. Dewy Rose, GA passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Mrs. Maxwell was born January 28, 1929 in Fulton County, GA to William Edgar Fouts and Velva Cleo Clark Fouts. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, attended Berry College and was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years Hoyt Chandler Maxwell, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda Joyce Cann and Ray Cann of Dewy Rose, GA, Charlotte Truitt and Charles Truitt of Dewy Rose, GA; son, Steven Maxwell and Carol Maxwell of Dewy Rose, GA; brother: James Fouts of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren: Stephanie Renea Cann, Jeffery Chandler Cann, Cory Adam Truitt, Craig Ryan Truitt and Laurie Jossey Truitt and great-grandchildren: Max Truitt, James Truitt and Chandler Truitt.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters: Lillian Mulkey and Martha Fae Jackson.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Sunday September 12 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Ayers and Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. Interment will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with Charles Truitt, Cory Truitt, Craig Truitt, Ray Cann, Jeff Cann and Trevor Ayers serving as pallbearers.

The family are at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested to please make memorials in her memory to Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
