Mrs. Margaret Millie Patton Munday, 66, of Elberton Road Lexington, Georgia, wife of Larry Edward Munday, Sr., passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Munday was born in Athens, Georgia on September 5, 1947, to the late Thomas Patton, Sr. and Janie Bridges Patton. Margaret dedicated her life helping others whether it was at work as the Director of the Oglethorpe Senior Center for 21 years where she retired from or in personal home where she took in friends who had no where to go. She will be missed bay all. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Larry Edward Munday, Sr. of the home; children, Eddie and Alana Munday, Jr.; Ronnie Munday, Ginger and Lee Tiller, and Sandra and James Corry; siblings, Louise and Dan Yearwood, Mary Ann and Robert Guest, Thomas "Tommy" Patton, Jr. and Patricia Barrett; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Russ Barnett. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM Saturday November 23, at Oglethorpe County Senior Center in Crawford, Georgia. In lieu of flowers donations in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Oglethorpe Senior Center.
