Marian Rose Gunnells

Mrs. Marian Rose Gunnells, 87, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Sunday morning, March 23, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Georgia. A native of Daviess County, Missouri, Mrs. Gunnells was the daughter of the late Wesley G.and Gertie A. Hiley Lee.She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Eldon Gunnells.She was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church, as well as the Stephen Heard Chapter of The American Revolution. Mrs. Gunnells is survived by her step-sons, David Gunnells (Margaret) of Myrtle Beach, SC,Roger Gunnells (Jan) of Dewy Rose, and Steven Gunnells (Pamela) of Hiawatha, KS; 10 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers:Darrell Lee of Kidder, MO, Benjamin Lee of Winston, MO, Clair Lee of Hamilton, MO, and Kenneth Lee of Winston, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband,Mrs. Gunnells was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers. A service to celebrate Mrs. Gunnells’ life was held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Rev.
