Mark Thomas Carey

Mr. Mark Thomas Carey, 57, of Viola Winn Dr., Royston, GA passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, GA.

Mr. Carey was born May 6, 1959 in Atlanta, GA to Jimmy Asbury Carey and Peggy Lynn Kay Carey. He was a member of Royston Church of God and was a Registered Nurse for Cobb Memorial and BJC in Commerce. He was a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and also served in the Army National Guard.

Survivors include a son Matthew Thomas Carey of Columbus, GA; daughters: Madison Carey of Valdosta, GA, and Breiana Carey of Royston, GA; siblings: Jeff Michael and Sherri Carey, Susan Lynn Carey, Jill and Chuck Adamski and Kathy and Gary Herring all of Royston, GA; grandson Ayden Brown and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 11AM, Friday January 13 at Royston Church of God with Rev. Eddie Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM just prior to the service at Royston Church of God.
