Martha Ann Slay

Mrs. Martha Ann Moore Slay, 69, of Bakers Ferry Rd., Elberton passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Mrs. Slay was born September 13, 1948 in Elberton, GA to George "Boose" Moore and Beth Partain Moore. She was a member of Fortsonia Baptist Church, Elbert County Senior Center, and the Elbert County FFA Alumni. She was retired from Drake Gas of Elberton, GA.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Wanda Slay of Elberton, GA; daughter and son-in-law: Delon and Randy Smith of Elberton, GA; mother: Beth Partain Moore of Dewy Rose, GA; sister and brother-in-law: Elaine and Larry Burden of Dewy Rose, GA; and grandchildren: Maribeth Smith and Slayter Smith.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years: Marshall Slay.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Thursday, November 16 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Fortsonia Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM just before the service at Berry Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of Delon and Randy Smith, 1959 Bakers Ferry Rd., Elberton, GA.
