Martha Mann Richardson

Mrs. Martha Mann Richardson, 89, of Elberton, GA passed away Wednesday evening, January 2, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Richardson was born June 9, 1923 to the late Preston Otis and Mollie Gaines Mann.She was married to the late Charles Howard Richardson. Mrs. Richardson was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to all.She adored her entire family.Mrs. Richardson loved working in her yard with flowers, and her favorite thing to do was to pick up pecans.She also loved swinging in her yard with her cat. Mrs. Richardson is survived by a son, Danny Richardson and his wife, Carol;grandchildren: Brandye Childs (Robbie) and Amanda Hill (Justin);great-grandchildren: Cassidy and Camdyn Childs, and Taylor Hughes;step-grandchildren:Sean Waters (Mikki), Allen Waters (Brook), and Clay Waters; and step-great-grandchildren:Savannah Waters, Mollee Waters, Dalton and Jade Waters, and Austin Burton.She is also survived by special caregivers, Tammy and Esther.In addition to her husband,Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her sisters, Genelle Greenway and Katherine Eberhardt;a brother, Webbie Mann;and a special friend, Frances Greenway. A service to celebrate Mrs. Richardson’s life was Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Rev Kenneth Deitle and Rev. Ed Sayer officiating.A time of visitation was at 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service.Interment followed at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Flowers will be graciously accepted.
