Martha Williams Cromer

Mrs. Martha Elaine Williams Cromer, 68, of Elberton, wife of the late James ‘Melvin’ Cromer, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Pruitt Health at Spring Valley.

Martha was born in Elberton on October 19, 1951, daughter of the late Lorton Duckworth and Ima Jean Wilder Raines and the late Barry 'Laquin' Williams. She was a retired bookkeeper and seamstress, and a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. “Grammy” enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children: Shane and Sherry Ethridge of Dewy Rose and Sonya and Scott Lancaster of Mooresboro, NC; sisters: Susan Webb, Annette Lovin, Pam Chandler, and Cathy Dennis; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Williams.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 4 o’clock at Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Adams and Eric Lovin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Jason Webb, Clint Webb, Eric Lovin, Sean Lovin, Joseph Pearson, Donovan Dennis, Christopher Dennis, and R.J. Chandler honored as pallbearers.

The family is at the residence of Shane and Sherry Ethridge, 2544 Nickville Road, Dewy Rose, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Friday evening.

Mrs. Cromer will be placed in the church at 3 o'clock on Saturday.
