Mary Alberta Anderson

Mrs. Mary Alberta “Berta” Anderson passed away Friday , December 16, 2011at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Berta was born in Elbert County to the late Thomas and Mary Atkins Jones. Berta is survived by her husband, John Douglas Anderson of the home, a son, Dr. Dale (Melinda) Anderson of Grayson , Georgia, a daughter Gail (Richard) Howell of Elberton, two sisters, Charlotte (Jon) Nagle, Pansy (Robert) Gaines, two brothers, Carey Jones and Talmadge Jones all of Elberton as well as five grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother Otho Jones. Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with the Reverends Allen Carmichel and Nancy Morgan officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral at Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
