Mary Elizabeth Holcomb Hearn

Mary Elizabeth Holcomb Hearn, 90, of 1001 Joru Drive, Elberton, wife of the late Lloyd Gibson Hearn, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospice House. Mrs. Hearn was born in Athens, February 11, 1923, to the late Luther and Sally Mae White Holcomb. She was a homemaker. Left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Mary Mae Staples; grandchildren reared in the home, Danny New and his wife Tammy of Elberton, Linda Black of Monticello, and William Simpson of Elberton; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, July 13, in the Falling Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Morgan officiating.
