Mary Frances Teasley Harris

Mrs. Mary Frances Teasley Harris, 77, of Elberton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Heardmont Nursing Home with her daughter at her side.

Mrs. Harris was born in Hartwell on October 15, 1947, daughter of the late Harold Brown Teasley and Susan Frances Harper Teasley. She worked a beautician as well as at Brown Transport. Mary was a member of Elberton Christian Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Traci Denise Harris Moon and her husband Lynn of Elberton; sister, Jane Stone and her husband Frank of Anderson, SC; grandchildren: Heath Scarborough, Addyson Scarborough, Jeremy Scarborough, and Aubrey Umble; great-grandchildren: Malec, Grayson, Saylor, Ellynor, Annyston, Piper, and Emry; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Frank Harris; daughter, Mary Angela “Angie” Harris Scarborough; grandson, Billy Kevin Scarborough; and sister, Sara Partain.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 12, from 10:00-10:45a.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by the Rev. Rick Cox. Burial will be in Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery.
