Mary Howell Rhodes

Mary Howell Rhodes, 69, of 726 Knottywood Drive, Lavonia, GA widow of the late George H. "Dusty" Rodes, died Thursday morning, May 26, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Rhodes was born in Hart County, January 10, 1942, daughter of Lorene Eavenson Howell and the late Marvin T. Howell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church in Hartwell, Georgia. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jeff Cornelison of Lavonia, Georgia, Scott Cornelison, and Angie McLane, both of Hartwell, Georgia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Lorene Eavenson Howell of Hartwell, Georgia; twin sister, Martha Human of Lavonia, Georgia; brothers, Joel Howell of Stockbridge, Georgia, Chandler Howell, and Doyle Howell, both of Hartwell, Georgia; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a sister Naomi Parks , and a brother Alston Howell. The family has chosen cremation, and memorial services will be held at a later date and time.
