Mrs. Mary Jean Owens House, 70, of Davis Road, Dewy Rose, GA wife of Billy House passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. House was born March 15, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Clarence Lester Owens and Georgia Harriet Hornbuckle Sorrells. She was a retired custodian from the Elbert County School System. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Billy House; children Jeff and Nancy Chandler of Comer, GA; Christopher and Samantha House of Elberton, GA; Thomas Wesley and Chelsea House of Watkinsville, GA; step-daughter Jennifer and Alan Hill of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren Chasity House, Valerie House, Wesley House, Connor House, Bella House, Izaac House and step-grandchildren Zachary Hill, Maxwell Hill and Ally Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father W.C. Sorrells and siblings George Lester Owens and Carol Owens Addison. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Saturday, November 8, graveside at Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Robert Garrett officiating.
