Mary Jo Turner Bond

Mary Jo Turner Bond, 76, of Petersburg Towers, Elberton, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospice House. Ms. Bond was born in Elbert County, October 13, 1936, to the late Burnice and Ruby Willis Turner. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Bellevue, Nebraska and was a retired home health aide. Left to cherish her memories are three children, Shirley & Jim Patterson of Elberton, GA, Ross & Cyndy Bond, Jr. of Raytown, MO, and Doug Bond of Elberton, GA; sister, Peggy & Harlan Berryman of Cataula, GA; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Jan Cape. Graveside funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Monday July 8, at Forest Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Ken Thrift officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested to make memorials in her honor to St. Mary's Hospice House 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, Georgia 30622.
