Mattie Leah Porterfield Steadham

Mattie Leah Porterfield Steadham, 95, of 705 Whitehead Rd., Athens, GA., formerly of Elberton died saturday June 12, 2010. Born in Madison County, GA., she was a daughter of the late William Claude Porterfield and Clara Beatrice Herring Porterfield. She was a homemaker and was married to the late Ralph Obie Steadham, and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday June 14 at the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, GA. The family will be at their respective homes. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday June 13 at Berry Funeral Home.
