Melissa Ann Arganbright Smith

Melissa Ann Smith, 42, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Upper Valley Hospital in Troy.

She was born on August 7, 1979, in Charles City, Iowa to the late Lester and Michele (Desart) Arganbright.

Melissa was a giving and good-hearted person. She loved flowers and watching birds. She had a caring and compassionate soul. She was the rock and the planner for her family. She loved her family and was the world's best Mimi and Mama.

Melissa is survived by her partner, Jeff Baker, of Troy; her daughter, Kelsey (Bailey) Major of Elberton, Georgia; her grandsons, Hudson and Benson; her four-legged fur baby, Isabelle; her brothers, Chad (Amanda) Arganbright of Dewy Rose, Georgia, and Danny (Brandy) Arganbright of Lavonia, Georgia; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebrations of Melissa's life will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Danny Guthrie Pavilion located in Bobby Brown State Park in Elberton, Georgia and at 12:30 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 2915 Hollansburg Arcanum Road, New Madison, Ohio.
