Mervin Lane

Mervin Lane, 74, 0f 893 Greenwood Road, Hartwell, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home. Born in West Virginia December 3, 1937 to the late James Edward Lane Sr. and Betty Ann Hurst Lane. He was a retired Horse Trainer, a veteran serving in the Unites States Marine Corps and a member of Top Gun R/C Club. Left to cherish his memories are his brothers and sisters James Edward Lane Jr. of Canon, Georgia; Robert "Bobby" Laine of Loganville, Georgia; Paul Lane of Mableton, Georgia; Charles Lane, Tim Lane and John Lane all of Hartwell, Georgia; Ronnie Lane of Knoxville, Tennessee; Patricia Kirchmeyer of Spokane, Washington; Twins, Sharon Lane and Karen Lane both of Fort Worth, Texas; Carl Roberts of Atlanta, Georgia and Martha Ann Smith of Mableton, Georgia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Lane and sisters Rebecca Lane and Rose Christine Lane. Mr. Lane's wishes were cremation and a Memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
