Michael Hood

Michael Hood, 53, of 2149 Highway 72 East, Comer, Georgia, husband of Mamie Sue Reed Hood, passed away Sunday morning, October 23, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia. Born in Dewy Rose, GA April 3, 1958 to the late Ernest Hood and Mary Jones Hood. He was a crane operator at North GA Monument Company. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Mamie Sue Reed Hood, sons Michael Terrell Hood of Athens, GA, Christopher Hood of Bangor, ME, and Ernest Thomas Hood of Carlton, GA, sister Dorothy Maxwell of Elberton, GA, and five grandchildren. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held Saturday October 29, at his home 2149 Highway 72 East Comer, GA and the family will receive friends and family just prior to the service at 12PM.
