Michael Lee "Mike" Simmons

Mr. Michael Lee “Mike” Simmons, 61, of Jaudon Road, Elberton, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at his residence.

Mike was born in Elberton on July 24, 1960, son of Annie Lee Looney Simmons and the late Willie Micier Simmons, Sr. He was a graduate of Samuel Elbert Academy and retired from Supreme Granite Granite Company. Mike was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church and Philomathea Masonic Lodge.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his children: Josh (Stephanie) Simmons, Crystal (Elliott) Dye, and Morgan Simmons; siblings: Donna Parker, Phyllis Brady, and Bill Simmons; grandchildren: Madison, Lawton, Ellie, Rayleigh, and Elizabeth Grace;former wife of 41 years, Kim Norman Simmons; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services celebrating Mike’s life will be held on Sunday, December 19, at 2 o’clock from the graveside in Forest Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim McCollough officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Saturday, December 18, from 5:00-7:00p.m.
