Michael Wayne "Mike" Bell, 67, of 3026 Deep Creek Road, Bowman, husband of Becky Bryant Bell, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart. Mr. Bell was born in Elbert County on January 30, 1946, to the late George Alvin and Lola Claire Ruff Bell. He retired from Dixie Granite Company where he worked as a sandblaster and was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran. Mike was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church, Elberton Moose Lodge, Elberton Elks Club, Elberton V.F.W., and a former member of Jaycee's. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Becky Bryant Bell of the home; children, Matthew Evan Bell and his wife Amanda and Suzanne Leigh Bell Loggins and her husband Chuck; grandchildren, Trent Bell and Micah Loggins; siblings, Gene Bell, Bud Bell, Lynn Bell, Sara Margaret Veal, Martha Ann Hardin, Charlotte Johnson, Jerolyn Almond, and Patsy Suttles; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Horace Bell, Bill Bell, Howard Bell, Douglas Bell, Pete Bell, Rick Bell, and Maleen Godfrey. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, September 10, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Michael Marcengill and Chad Wehunt officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family is at the residence, 3026 Deep Creek Road, Bowman, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Monday evening.
