Michael Allen Pittman, Sr.

Michael Allen Pittman, Sr., age 52, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023.  

Michael was born in Atlanta to the late Allen Pittman and Kathy Walker Pittman.  He spent many years working at WestPoint Stevens before pursuing his dream of becoming a chef.  Before his health slowed him down, Michael could be found in a deer stand or with his hook in the water.  He could also be found playing a hands of card and most importantly… cheering on the Dawgs!  

He is survived by his three children, Savannah Hefner (Chuy Navarro) of Greenville, South Carolina, Elizabeth Pittman of Hartwell, and Michael Pittman, Jr. of Hartwell; the mother of his children, Christina Carver of Nicholson; brothers and sister, Jeremiah Walker, Amanda Peters, and Dustin Thomson; and his faithful furry companions, Mr. Nibbles, Cali, Chubbs, Baby Girl, Pretty Girl, Zeus, and Ella.  

Above all else, he was the adoring Papa to his granddaughter, AnnaMarie Bottomley and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his second granddaughter.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.
