Mildred Benton Chandler

Mrs. Mildred Benton Chandler, 91, of S.Thomas St. Elberton, GA wife of the late Robert Evans Chandler passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Chandler was born October 24, 1925 in Jackson County, GA to William Earl Benton and Florence Mae Wheeler Benton. She was a retired bookkeeper from Sanders Furniture.

She is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Lydia and Ronald Kidd of Elberton, GA; Jennifer Chandler of Elberton, GA; son and daughter-in-law: Russell and Judy Chandler of Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren: David Kidd and Anna Short, Janet Kidd Grant, Bobby and Michele Kidd, Steven and Lindsey Kidd; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Victoria Chandler and eight siblings.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Saturday, July 15 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with her daughter Jennifer Chandler officiating. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Friday night at Berry Funeral Home.
