Mr. Milford Lewis Cagle, 94, of Moody, Texas, passed from this life on October 8, 2024, at Pruitt Health Spring Valley in Elberton, Georgia. Mr. Cagle was married to Annie Frances Dennard Cagle for 25 years.
He was born in Sudan, Texas on August 3, 1930, the son of the late Roscoe Lewis “Pete” Cagle and Ozella Mae Watts Cagle. He was a graduate of Moody High School and went to further his education at Mary Hardin-Baylor for 2 years. He finished his degree in Computer Sciences at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He retired from Baylor University after a 30-year tenure. During his and Annie’s retirement, they worked for the Army Corp of Engineers as gatekeepers for several years, manning the gates at parks/lakes in Texas and Georgia. Milford’s hobbies included playing dominoes, fishing and photography.
He is survived by step-children: Jeanine Dennard Milner and spouse David, Debra Dennard Milam and spouse Jim, Harold Dean Dennard, Jr. “Buddy” and spouse Deb and Anita Carol Dennard.
Preceding him in death was his father and mother, his brother, Frankie Cagle; his wife, Annie and two step-sons, Gary Lynn Dennard (spouse Gina Wetzel Dennard and Terry Allen “Tiger” Dennard (spouse Rebecca Gholson Dennard).
Mr. Cagle had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and loved and adores each one.
A celebration of life service will be held later in Waco, Texas.
