Moina Mathews Johnson

Mrs. Frances Moina Mathews "Mo" Johnson, age 69, of Pine Knoll Drive, Elberton, wife of David P. Johnson, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Johnson was born on March 27, 1944, in Lexington to the late George and Frances Holmes Mathews. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and Respiratory Therapist from Elbert Memorial Hospital and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, David P. Johnson of the home; children, William David Johnson of Salem, Oregon and Lori J. Mayhue and her husband Willie of Elberton; grandson, Matthew William Mayhue; siblings, Buddy Mathews of Lexington, Jerry Mathews of Lexington, Martha Rayburn of Athens, and Geneva Mathews of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, November 10, at 3:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Morgan and Mr. Tommy Fields officiating. The family is at the residence on Pine Knoll Drive and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home immediately following the service.
