Myrtle Terry Brown

Mrs. Myrtle Terry Brown, 81, of Elberton, GA passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Landmark Hospital in Athens, GA. Mrs. Brown was born in Clio, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Minnie and Clyde Terry. She was the widow of the late Edgar Chandler Brown, Jr. Mrs. Brown is survived by a sister, Nellie Powers, of Williamsburg, Kentucky;her children: Edgar Chandler Brown, III, Terry Owen Brown, William Wray (Amanda) Brown, Asa Mallory Brown, Phillip Benjamin Brown, all of Elberton, and Crystal Ann Hollifield (Lisa Brown-Hite) of Dayton, Ohio. Mrs. Brown is also survived by her grandchildren: Jonathan Wesley Brown, Stacie Brown Warwick, Sara Louise Hollifield, Madison Elizabeth Hollifield, Jonathan Chandler Brown, Alisa Brown Milner, Jennifer Brown Carter, Tabitha Elaine Johnson, Kimberly Michelle Powell, and Robert Eli Powell;and eight great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mrs. Brown’s life was held Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with the Reverends Gary Purvis and Al Butler officiating.Visitation for family and friends was on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home.
