Nancy Elise Stephens

Mrs. Nancy Elise Reynolds Stephens, 65, of Hamp Brown Road, Elberton, wife of the late Russell “Shorty” Stephens, Sr., passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Stephens was born in Ocoee, Florida on August 27, 1953, daughter of the late Broadus Reynolds and Jeanette Ferguson Beverly and Bob Beverly. She was a homemaker, caretaker, and a member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was happiest when making biscuits and being “Mawmaw Sassy”.

Survivors include her children: Russell, Jr. and Heather Stephens of Clermont, FL, Robbie and Paula Stephens of Elberton, Ray and April Stephens of Elberton, Billy Stephens of Elberton, and Lynn and Kevin Fields of Elberton; siblings: Kathy Staton, Brenda Stephens, Janet Reynold, Polly Higgins, and Bobbie Jean Branson; grandchildren: Sean, Jenny, Richard, Robbin, Katelin, Shelby, Coral, Daniel, Ashley, and Jared; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Allie, Macie, Brantley, Bailey, Bella, Anzley, and Joey; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Reynolds; and granddaughter, Amy Nicole Cox.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, November 25, at 4 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Saturday evening.
