Neil C. Bonds

Mr. Neil C. Bonds, of Marietta, GA and formerly of Calhoun Falls, SC, entered into rest on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA, at the age of 84.

Mr. Bonds was born in Iva, SC, on December 11, 1931, son of the late Carroll Allen Bonds and Annie Mae Hutchison Bonds, and was a graduate of Calhoun Falls High School. Neil touched numerous lives during his teaching career, having served Cobb County, GA for over 40 years.

He is survived by his sister, Alicia Bonds Moye and her husband Ollie of Prosperity, SC; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Chester Almond.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Neil Bonds will be held on Friday, October 9, at 11 o’clock in Providence Presbyterian Church, Highway 81, Lowndesville, SC 29659. Dr. Harold Lawrence and Mr. Stanley H. Powell will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. At the request of Mr Bonds, private burial will precede the service in the Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery. An additional memorial service will be announced in Marietta, GA at a later date.
