Nell Turner Poss

Mrs. Nell Turner Poss, 85, of Clairmont Ave. Elberton wife of the late Earl Poss passed away Wednesday February 17, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Poss was born April 9, 1930 in Oglethorpe County to the late Sydney Turner and Anna Mae Lance Turner. She was retired from Elberton Mills. Left to cherish her memories include a son Terry L. Rousey of Elberton, GA, grandchildren Kelley Smith of Elberton, GA, Sherri Waldvogle of Hartwell, GA, Christy Phillips of Hartwell, GA, Jason Smith of Elberton, GA, Christopher Rousey of Elberton, GA, Tim Rousey of Lavonia, GA, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Ann Smith and brother Charles Turner. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Friday February 19 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with Rusty Lyon, Tony Greenway, Jason Smith, Adam Phillips, Christopher Rousey and Tim Rousey serving as pallbearers and Logan Smith serving as a honorary pallbearer. The family is at the home on Clairmont Ave. and will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday night at Berry Funeral Home. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her honor to American Diabetes Association or a charity of one's choice.
