Nellie Bertling Cobb

Mrs. Nellie Mae Bertling Gooch Vinson Cobb, 70, of Elberton, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at her residence.

Nellie was born in Greene County on April 21, 1948, daughter of the late Robert Fletcher Bertling and Alice Pearl Hubbard Bertling. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Danielsville.

Survivors include her children: David and Betty Gooch of Dewy Rose, Ronald Paul Vinson of Danielsville, Donald David Vinson of Dewy Rose, James Vinson of Dewy Rose, and Janet Mae Susan Vinson of Danielsville; sisters: Evie Tison and Cathy Hall; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands: Hollis Milton Gooch, James Edward Vinson, and Donald Cobb; children: Waymon Hollis Gooch, Thomas Edward Gooch, Michael Anthony Gooch, and Stacy Vinson Sorrow; and sisters: Evelyn Gositt and Linda Meno.

Services were held privately at Berry Funeral Home prior to cremation.
