Norman "Shorty" Eavenson

Mr. Norman “Shorty” Hayes Eavenson, 96, of Hartwell Highway, Elberton, GA passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Eavenson was born August 29, 1925 in Elberton, GA to Oscar Eavenson and Bertha Harper Eavenson. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, a retired dairy farmer and truck driver. Shorty enjoyed spending time watching his grandkids play ball.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Patricia Riggins and Tommy Riggins of Easley, SC, sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald “Ronnie” Hayes Eavenson and Jan Eavenson, Michael Lee Eavenson and Judy Eavenson; grandchildren and their spouses: Kimberly and Tony, Mark and Donna Roper, Kevin and Beth Eavenson, Hannah and Austin Williams, Kelley Coker and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Elizabeth McGee Eavenson; brothers: Robert Eavenson, Harper Eavenson, Gene Eavenson; sister: Billie Gulley and grandchildren: Bradley “Brad” Eavenson and Timothy and Lynn Roper.

Private graveside services will be held at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ric Veal officiating.
