Norman Alexander Suddeth

Mr. Norman Alexander Suddeth, 83, of Athens Highway, Elberton, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. 

Mr. Suddeth was born in Elberton on May 13, 1940, and was a 1958 graduate of Elbert County High School. He was a member of the Elberton Elks Lodge and attended First Presbyterian Church of Elberton. Norman formerly was involved with Bucakroo Ranch Child Care and worked as a clerk in the Elbert County Commissioners Office. He later retired as director of ACTION, Inc. During retirement, he enjoyed refurbishing and flipping homes. 

Surviving are his partner, Patrick Bell of Elberton; daughter: Jennifer Suddeth and her husband Ryan Adams of Winterville; grandson, Walter Eric Eaves, Jr. and his wife Sherali of Atlanta; and brother, Harris Suddeth of Selma, AL. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bowden Suddeth and Ruby Arlee Harris Suddeth; brother, Kenneth Suddeth; and sister, Carolyn Suddeth McWhorter. 

Honoring Norman’s request, a cryptside service will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 12noon at Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Romine officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery beginning at 1100a.m.
