Olis Herman Winn

Mr. Olis H. Winn, age 88, of Carlton, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 at his home. Mr. Winn was the son of the late Dave S. and Zora Maxwell Winn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Maxwell, Hoil, Hugh, Lawrence, and Emmett Winn and sister Drusilah Winn. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Graham of Carlton; brother, Hollis Winn and wife Patsy Winn of Washington; sisters, Mildred Crook of Loganville and Mary Elizabeth Doolittle of Athens; step-son and daughter-in-law, Len and Mary Graham of Comer; step-daughter, Sheila Graham of Elberton; and step-grandchildren, Gina Thompson of Duluth, Leah King of Comer, and David Thompson of Elberton. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Carlton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 Thursday morning at Hicks Funeral Home. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Olis H. Winn.
