Orene Maxwell Moore, 98, of 2662 Nickville Road, Dewy Rose, GA, widow of the late W.C. "Pete" Moore, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011. Born in Elbert County, November 9, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Jasper T. Maxwell and Lessie Vaughn Maxwell. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and a Homemaker. Left to cherish her memories are daughters and son-in-law, Joan and Art Ruesken of Lavonia, GA and Glenda Moore of McDonough, GA; sisters, Wilma Barber of Fayetteville, GA and Bobbie Adams of Bowman, GA; a brother, Eugene Maxwell of Elberton, GA; one grandchild, Lisa Ruesken and Jason Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Jack Davis and Luke Davis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pernie Driver; and brothers, Fred Maxwell, and J. Walter Maxwell. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Sunday, May 1, at 2PM in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams, Rev. Gary Purvis, and Rev. Malcom Herndon officiating. Burial will follow in Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Joan and Art Ruesken, 117 Beverly Street in Lavonia, GA, and will receive friends from 6-8PM Saturday night, at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Jason Driver, Laland Driver, Joel Driver, Jason Davis, Terry Black, and Douglas Black. Berry Funeral Home is respectfully in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Orene Maxwell Moore.
