Otis Barnes

Mr. Otis Barnes, 79, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home. Mr. Barnes was born in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Billy and Ida Mae Wooten Barnes.He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wilder Barnes in 2015, and a son, Joseph Bruce Barnes in 2014. Mr. Barnes was a veteran of the United States Navy.He worked in the granite industry as a foreman, and one of his favorite pastimes was fishing. Survivors include a son, Tim Barnes and his wife, Cindy, of Elberton; and a daughter, Gail Barnes of North Carolina. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements forMr. Otis Barnes were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
