Mrs. Patsy Doris Brooks Davis, 87, of Dewy Rose, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Spring Valley Health Care Center. Mrs. Davis was born in Tignall, Georgia, daughter of Robert “Pat” and Ruby Mae Thomasson Brooks.She was the widow of Mr. J. W. Davis.Mrs. Davis worked throughout her life as a secretary at Allen Granite Co. in Elberton.She was a faithful and devoted member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church.Mrs. Patsy’s sweet smile and gentle spirit were a blessing to everyone who knew her. Mrs. Davis is survived by a daughter, Patricia King and her husband, Jerry, of Dewy Rose;a son, Wayne Davis of Anderson, SC;one granddaughter, Lynn Stephens and her husband, Buddy, of Nicholson;and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Heather Stephens. In addition to her parents and husband,Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Hulme, and a brother, Preacher Brooks. A graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Davis’ life was held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Elmhurst Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., with Rev.
