Patty Christine Wallace Rice

Mrs. Patty Christine “Chris” Wallace Rice, 66, of Martin Villa Road, Elberton, wife of 25 years to the late James ‘Stanley’ Rice, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at her residence.

Chris was born in Elberton on December 10, 1954, daughter of Eugene Harrison Wallace and Martha ‘Lucy’ Truitt Wallace. She was a graduate of Elbert County High School and furthered her education at University of Georgia. Chris had worked for Georgia Synthetics, Granite Sales and Supply, Miles Supply, and most recently in the Pro Shop at Elberton Country Club. She was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church and absolutely loved her flowers.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her brother, Roger and Tonia Wallace; step-children: Kevin and Allison Rice of Elberton and Melanie Rice Albertson of Hartwell; grandsons: Austin Albertson and Justin Rice; nieces and nephew: Mark and Leslie Wallace, Melinda and James Oglesby, Amy and Spencer Strong, and Maeson Flowers; very special friend, Judy Worley; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Nicole; and sister, Elizabeth Mae Wallace.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-7:30p.m. on Friday, April 9.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 10, at 2 o’clock at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
